My name is Robert J Lopez and I am a Jazz guitarist originally from Riverside County, currently residing on the Central Coast of California. I have studied with Jazz legends such as Ron Escheté, Charlie Shoemake, and Baba Elefante. I hold a Master’s of Music in Guitar Performance from the University of Idaho in the Lionel Hampton School of Music.

I have a great deal of experience performing in countless casual and private gigs as well as several formal concerts most notably with my trio and with the Jimmy Beall Big Band. Performing as a solo act as well as with ensembles of varying sizes, I am comfortable in virtually any performance setting.

I recently recorded my debut album “One Flamingo” with Baba Elefante (bass) and Steve Dixon (drums) at the Love and Laughter Studios in Anaheim, California. This recording, in part, is intended to showcase my abilities as a guitarist, composer, arranger, and band leader. It is available on all major streaming platforms.

I look forward to continuing my journey as a guitarist and composer, and I hope to share that journey with as many people as possible!
